Best way to visit Kedarnath with protocols and precautions in 2021

Kedarnath Dham Yatra

The Kedarnath temple stands in the center of the majestic snow-capped Garhwal Himalayan ranges and is thronged by thousands of tourists each year.

Kedarnath is a holy Hindu town located in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand in India. It is one of the Char Dhams located in the Himalayas. Kedarnath is situated at an astonishing height of 3584 meters above sea level near the head of Mandakini River.

Guidlines To Follow

  1. It is mandatory for all visitors to have their Covid-19 negative reports before heading towards the Yatra.
  2. Pilgrimages must register at Devsthanam board website badrinath-kedarnath.gov.in and carry the e-pass during the travel.

About Yatra E-Pass

  1. The yatra e-pass is compulsory for all pilgrims applying through the Devasthanam board website.

  2.  All kinds of documents uploaded on the website must be carried in the entire yatra.

  3. Applied yatra e-pass will only be used to visit the shrine and not to be used to visit any other nearby places. 

  4. Pilgrims should wash their hands and feet before entering the temple. They should also carry a sanitizer and wear a mask at all times. All the pilgrims will have to follow all the covid precautions. 

  5. All pilgrims will not be allowed to touch any idols during the yatra. 

  6. The E-pass is valid only for the darshan and will be null and void once the pilgrims have visited the temple.

NOTE: As per the latest update, only the residents of Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi are allowed to visit Kedarnath, Badrinath & Gangotri-Yamunotri respectively with a negative RT-PCR report has been revoked.
