Since the lockdown we all have been wanting to flock our way to the hills, haven’t we? Especially when the clock turns summer, our way to find solace is towards the hills and the perfect weather. One such place is Himachal Pradesh, the land of Gods. Here are a few tips before travelling to Himachal post lockdown of 2021.
- Himachal Pradesh government has finally removed the rule of carrying the RT-PCR negative report before entering the state, (phew!). This led to many cities seeing a massive inflow of tourists which led to heavy traffic jams. This shows how we Indians just need to travel.
- The government has also issued a travel advisory for tourists and made Covid e-pass mandatory after the incident.
- Popular for its scenic mountains, cafes & resorts, Himachal saw a flood of people shake the state. Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur said nobody will be allowed to flout the government’s norms to check the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
- The chief minister also said people visiting the state would be monitored through registration on the Covid e-pass software. He said pass applicants have to enter their particulars in the online system and that details of their arrival were being shared with all the stakeholders concerned.
- As we all witness the exodus, we still wonder when all this will be over. The lockdown, the pandemic, the virus and us being homebound. But like ancestors have said, “Sabra ka phal meetha hota hai” meaning having patience will get you the desired results, let’s hope for the best.
